How you can help the people of Nepal.

In the wake of a devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck Nepal on Saturday killing more than 4,600 and injuring approximately 9,000 - United Jewish Appeal of Greater Toronto has established an emergency relief fund to help save lives and provide support for victims of this heartbreaking tragedy.

One-hundred percent of funds raised by the UJA Nepal Emergency Relief Fund will be allocated to UJA’s overseas partner, The Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC), to provide immediate humanitarian aid to disaster victims and their families, including food, water, and, with the high risk of disease, proper sanitation, as well as other emerging needs.

The JDC is currently partnering with a number of Nepal-based organizations to provide emergency relief, including a field hospital that has just been set up in Nepal.

To contribute to UJA's Nepal Emergency Relief Fund, please visit ujadonations.com/Nepal or call 416-631-5705.

UJA of Greater Toronto will continue to monitor the situation closely.

We thank you for your support, and for you ongoing commitment to Tikkun Olam, “repairing the world”.
