UJA of Greater Toronto Nepal Emergency Relief Fund

In the wake of a devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake that struck Nepal on Saturday, killing more than 3,700 and injuring approximately 7,000 - United Jewish Appeal of Greater Toronto has established an emergency relief fund to help save lives and provide support for victims of this heartbreaking tragedy.

One-hundred percent of funds raised by the UJA Nepal Emergency Relief Fund will be allocated to UJA’s overseas partner, The Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC), to provide immediate humanitarian aid to disaster victims and their families, including food, water, and, with the high risk of disease, proper sanitation, as well as other emerging needs.

The JDC is currently partnering with an Israeli field hospital that has just been set up in Nepal, as well as with a number of Nepal-based organizations to provide emergency relief,

To contribute to UJA's Israel Emergency Relief Fund, please visit ujadonations.com/Nepal or call 416-631-5705.

UJA of Greater Toronto will continue to monitor the situation closely.

We thank you for your support, and for you ongoing commitment to Tikkun Olam, “repairing the world”.
