A Temple Sinai Program — doc&dessert
A Hit at Toronto Hot Docs Festival 2016

“Incisive” — New York Times; “Don’t expect simple answers in Germans and Jews. Just prepare for formidable questions.” — New York Times; “A nuanced look at a complicated situation.” — LA Times
Germany is considered one of the most democratic societies in the world, assuming the position of moral leader in Europe as it embraces hundreds of thousands of refugees. None of these developments could have been imagined in 1945. Through personal stories Germans & Jews explores the country’s transformation from silence about the Holocaust to facing it head on.Today, more than 200,000 Jews live in Germany and Berlin has the fastest-growing Jewish population in Europe—startling facts, given the country’s history. Join us on Saturday, April 1 for a stunning, contemporary look at Berlin today. Register online at www.templesinai.net, call the Temple Office at 416-487-4161 or email programs@templesinai.net. Time: 7:15 p.m.: Wine, Cheese, Dessert and Coffee; 7:45 p.m.: Speaker and Film. Cost: Members: $20; Non-members: $25. Priority registration for Temple members up to Wednesday, March 1. After that date, registration is open to all. 210 Wilson Avenue.
