A Temple Sinai Program — Dr. Lou Siminovitch Science Series Parallel Pathways of Science and Torah — Inflammatory Bowel Disease: Cohn’s and Ulcerative Colitis with Dr. Ken Croitoru

Canadians have more reasons to be concerned about Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis than anyone else in the world. One in every one hundred and fifty Canadians is living with Crohn’s or colitis — a rate that ranks in the highest worldwide. Families new to Canada are developing Crohn’s and colitis for the first time — often within the first generation. Most alarming, the number of new cases of Crohn’s disease in Canadian children has almost doubled since 1995. Dr. Croitoru will speak about current developments in Crohn’s and Colitis research highlighting new paradigms in treatment. Dr Ken Croitoru is a professor of medicine at the University of Toronto and Mount Sinai Hospital. Time: 7:00 p.m. For more information call the temple Office at 416-487-4161 or email programs@templesinai.net. 210 Wilson Avenue.
