An Academy Award-nominated film by Dror Moreh. At no time has the reality of security in Israel been more of a challenge than today. In 2012, the movie The Gatekeepers was released. It shared excerpts from lengthy interviews with six surviving heads of the Israeli internal security service. In 2014, the full texts of the interviews were published. Having reviewed the full texts, Rabbi Michael Dolgin will share perspectives with us on the nature of documentary work, this film in particular, and what the full interviews tell us about today’s security situation in Israel. If you have not seen the film recently, join us for the show at 10:15 a.m. If you have, come for the lunch and discussion at 12:00 p.m. noon. Cost: Members: $18; Non-members: $20.
