A Temple Sinai Program: Passage to the New World Film and Conversation
George Hanff has masterfully assembled a film titled Passage to the New World, documenting the lives of his parents, Siegfried and Ruth. We witness the tumultuous era of 1914–1939 in Europe and follow their remarkable journey to South America and finally Canada. The film explores the intersection of Jewish private lives and major events. George and his sons Josh and Ben will discuss the importance of documenting family narratives. Lithuanian Holocaust survivor Faigie Libman will also speak to her war experiences. Time: 10:15 a.m. There is no charge for this program.
