A Temple Sinai Program: Tisha B’Av

The fast of Tisha B'Av commemorates the destruction of the Temple in Jerusalem. It is traditionally a day of reflection on what was lost, and, paradoxically, the hope for renewal. Join us as we begin the commemoration Tisha B'Av with a special Sinai Stream featuring our clergy. Rabbi Michael Dolgin will reflect on the challenges and opportunities our community has faced during this pandemic, and our cantors will chant selections from the book of Eicha, the biblical text traditionally chanted on the evening of the fast. Then Rabbi Sue Oren will lead a special meditation on the meaning of Tisha B’Av at 12.30 p.m. on Thursday, July 30.
