Temple Sinai READS — An Evening with Leonard Cohen and Rabbi Lawrence Englander

A tribute to the music and poetry of the Canadian singer-songwriter- poet-novelist Leonard Cohen. On November 7, 2016, one of music’s most revered and prolific visionaries, Leonard Cohen, passed away. His work spanned nearly 50 years, and he wrote almost as many books of poetry as he did albums of song. He left behind a legacy of work that will bring insight, inspiration and healing for generations to come. Come with your poems, books, thoughts and memories of Leonard Cohen and share how he affected the way you look at the world. Rabbi Lawrence Englander will discuss the relationship that Cohen had with Judaism and how it was reflected in his music. Time: 7:30 p.m. Cost: There is no charge for this program. For more information and to register, please call the Temple Office at 416-487-4161.
