Professor Margo Gewurtz
Margo Gewurtz is Professor Emerita and Senior Scholar in Humanities at York University. She was a Woodrow Wilson Fellow at Cornell University where she received her MA and PhD in Modern History. In her long career at York, Margo was a founding member of both the East Asian and Women’s Studies Programmes and served as Chair of Humanities and Master of Founders College. Margo and Shalom Gewurtz have been active members of Beth Tikvah for over 30 years.
