May 5 Karen Liberman Retired Executive Director of the Mood Disorders Association of Ontario and currently travelling North America as a workplace mental health advisor, Karen brings vast professional and personal experience.  Currently holds positions in the Mental Health Commission of Canada.  Recognized and awarded by many (Royal Bank of Canada, Ontario Psychological Association, CAMH etc.), Karen will talk about mental illness-the torment and despair, and ultimately, the hope and recovery.  Mental Health - Despair, Hope and Recovery

6 of 8 Lunch and Learn Session - May 19 Shalom Bard The First Israeli-Canadian Conductor of the Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra, a two-time Chalmers Award winner and a clarinetist since the age of 12, Shalom will talk about his path to becoming a conductor as well as influences in his life.  Conducting the TSO Youth Orchestra    

7 of 8 Lunch and Learn Session - May 26 Howard Lichtman President of The Lightning Group, providing marketing and strategic guidance to blue chip clients, Howard was the creator/marketer for programs such as American Express “Front of the Line” as well as “Taste of the Danforth”. Howard will talk about the business and marketing opportunities opening up in Canada through immigration, and how viewing them with a “Jewish lens” can lead to success.

8 of 8 Lunch and Learn Session - June 2 Steve McDonald Associate Director of Communications for the Centre for Israel & Jewish Affairs, Steve is national media spokesperson for the Jewish Community, preparing written advocacy materials.  Steve also served in the office of an MP.  Twice named as one of Canada’s “Top 100 Lobbyists” (one of the few members under the age of 30).  Steve will talk about:  Zionism and Jewish Identity Through the Eyes of a Convert

Returning to Lunch & Learn after 9 years, Steve will talk about his most recent book: "Paikin and the Premiers”
