Mitzvah Knitters is a group of volunteer women who knit for those in need. We meet every 2 weeks at Beth Tikvah from 1-3 PM. We knit hats, blankets, scarves, mittens and twiddlemuffs and donate them to various senior homes and organizations.

Last year we began donating Chemo caps and blankets to Mackenzie Health, Odette Cancer Center and Hats for Hope. We are now starting a new program called Rescued Bears, where we will knit sweaters for Bears. Those bears will then be sold and the proceeds will be donated to Toronto KEYS - supporting adults with intellectual disabilities.
We are always looking for new knitters. We will supply all the yarn, patterns and needles. We are solely supported by donations. Help us by donating yarn or money to purchase yarn. A tax receipt will be issued for all money donated. Donations can be made to Beth Tikvah Synagogue - earmarked Mitzvah Knitters.
