Evening with Menachem Kaiser "Plunder" (HMH, 2021)

Acclaimed author Menachem Kaiser will discuss the emotional and legal journey he undertook to reclaim his family’s legacy in his new memoir Plunder, A Memoir of Family Property and Nazi Treasure (HMH, 2021). The conversation with Prof. Doris Bergen, Chancellor Rose and Ray Wolfe Chair in Holocaust Studies (UofT) will be followed by a Q and A.

Menachem Kaiser is a writer currently living in Brooklyn, NY. He grew up in Toronto, Canada, has a BA from Columbia University and an MFA from University of Michigan, and was a Fulbright Fellow to Lithuania. His fiction and nonfiction have appeared in Wall Street Journal, The Atlantic, New York, BOMB, Vogue, and elsewhere. He is also the creator of the Vilna ghetto virtual mapping project: reVilna.
