Family Tree research results in the collection of many things including data, stories, photographs, documents, artefacts and, of course, memories. It is very easy to become overwhelmed by the flood of information that you amass during your research, and to feel that you are drowning. Les maintains that progress depends on organization, perseverance and luck, and that all three elements are interrelated.

Les will present some techniques and methods that have helped him to remain
organized (or at least semi-organized).

Les has been a member of JGS Toronto since 1991. His genealogical research has taken him to many archives and numerous cemeteries as well as to Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania and Latvia.

Les is currently chair of the Programming Committee of JGS Toronto and is a Past President of our Society.

Sponsor: Jewish Genealogical Society of Toronto
