A Temple Sinai Program: Judaism and Science – What Can they Learn From Each Other? with Rabbi Lawrence Englander

In the past century alone, enormous advances have taken place in the scientific understanding of our world. Is it possible for religion - Jewish tradition in particular - to keep pace? To address this question, we’ll take a look at the following topics: The Big Bang and Creation: Is there room for God?; Quantum physics: How does it change our understanding of reality?; Medical ethics: What does Jewish law say about medical assistance in dying (MAID)? and The laws of thermodynamics and immortality: What happens when we die?

Time: 7:00 p.m.
Cost: Members: Free; Non-members, $5 per session.
