A Temple Sinai Program: 2022 Ben Steinberg Young Artists Competition Concert
Monday, May 9 at 7.30 p.m.
Join us Monday evening, May 9 at 7.30 p.m. for the 2022 Ben Steinberg Young Artists Competition Concert featuring our 2020 winner, Jaclyn Grossman. One of the advantages of waiting two years for Jaclyn to have her concert is that we can now take full advantage of Temple Sinai's extraordinary new media presence. Hosted by Cantor Charles Osborne, this concert will be available both live and on the internet, with the opportunity for both audiences to engage Jaclyn in question and answer conversation during the evening.
This year, Jaclyn is a member of the Rebanks Family Fellowship and International Performance Residency Program with Toronto's Royal Conservatory of Music. As a Co-Founder of Likht Ensemble, Jaclyn will curate and perform this season in the Shoah Songbook, a concert series with the Harold Green Jewish Theatre, in cooperation with Temple Sinai, sharing music by Jewish composers from the Holocaust.
Joining Jaclyn will be accompanist Rachael Kerr. Known to Temple Sinai audiences as a founding member of the MIR Trio (with Mark Skazinetsky and Igor Gefter), Rachael is a coach and accompanist for the Canadian Opera Company's Ensemble Studio.
This concert is free and open to the public. We hope you will take advantage of this concert to make a tax-free donation to Temple Sinai's Refugee Fund, providing assistance to the People of Ukraine.
This concert is made possible through the gifts of Helen and Joseph Berman and the Darren Kendal Memorial Endowment Fund.
