We don’t often read from the Book of Judges, except for a couple of Haftarot throughout the year. Yet these heroes played a significant role when our ancestors first entered the Land of Israel, until they appointed their first king. Explore these biblical superheroes in this series filled with rich discussion led by Rabbi Englander.

•Ehud, who assassinated a Canaanite king and saved the Israelites
•Deborah, both a judge and a prophet, who mustered the Israelite troops
•Yael, a Kenite woman, who made a crucial decision during war
•Gideon, who used his military prowess to defeat a huge army
•Samson, who “brought down the house” with his final performance
