THE TRUMP TRANSFORMATION: PATTERNS, PROSPECTS AND PITFALLS

The Trump Administration seems enigmatic and full of contradictions. Yet it is possible to see a consistent pattern in its fundamental ideological direction, representing deep seated cultural trends in American society, many of which are also reflected in the current politics of the UK, France and Holland. One main objective of this administration is to create a new world order, which will also change the fundamental regional political patterns in the Middle East. The practical implication of this orientation is full of traps and obstacles, yet it is considered by most regional actors a welcome change from the policies of the previous administration.
