Our diverse community welcomes all people, including interfaith, LGBTQ+, traditional and non-traditional individuals and families. We are centrally located in Toronto, with Shabbat services at the MNjcc and other services, education programs and special events nearby.
Shir Libeynu is a liberal, egalitarian congregation, unaffiliated with any particular stream of Judaism. Our goals are to celebrate and experience joyfully all aspects of Jewish life and spirituality within an environment of inclusiveness, innovation and intellectual challenge. We welcome new rituals and liturgy while recognizing and affirming the many paths our tradition offers. Shir Libeynu is Hebrew for "song of our hearts," and our participatory services include prayers and music, both ancient and modern.
High Holiday 2020/5781 services will be led by Rabbi Dara Lithwick and our Chazzan and Musical Director, Daniela Gesundheit. Membership has many benefits, including access to all of our events, celebrations, newsletters, educational programming for children and adults, and High Holiday services. Shir Libeynu’s fees strive to balance affordability with adequate funding for our congregation throughout the year. We will not turn anyone away for lack of funds. Services held at MNjcc, 750 Spadina Avenue, Toronto, Ontario.
