Adath Israel Welcomes Torah Tots Preschool

Adath Israel Congregation is very pleased to announce the signing of a formal agreement with Torah Tots to operate a preschool and daycare in our newly renovated school wing, starting September, 2020.

Torah Tots has been operating at Beth Joseph Chabad on Edinburgh Drive for the past 7 years. Due to overwhelming demand, owners Chayala and Rabbi Yehuda Zarchi were searching for additional space in the neighborhood and now Torah Tots can continue to grow as it will retain both its main school and expand into our beautiful facilities.

Phil David, Executive Director of Adath Israel states “After renovating our school wing last year, we were very saddened by the departure of First Foundations due to the COVID shutdown. However, where one door closes, another opens. I’ve had the chance to meet with Rabbi Yehuda and Chayala – socially distanced of course – and to speak many times via Zoom over the last few weeks. The reputation of their school at Edinburgh speaks for itself and we look forward to establishing a long and productive relationship with them”.

Torah Tots is scheduled to open in September, 2020 for children aged 12 months to 4 years old. Of course, we will take guidance and direction from Toronto Public Health and the Ministry of Education to ensure we are complying with best practices related to COVID-19.
