Actress, producer, writer, and activist Noa Tishby was born and raised in Tel Aviv and served two and a half years in the Israeli army before she landed a starring role on the nation’s highest-rated prime time drama Ramat Aviv Gimmel. She became a household name, appearing in numerous TV shows, films, theater productions, and national fashion campaigns, before she moved to Los Angeles, where she sold the Israeli TV show In Treatment to HBO, making history as the first Israeli television show to become an American series. She co-produced over 150 episodes, which earned a Peabody Award and twelve Emmy and Golden Globe nominations. A passionate political activist, Tishby founded the nonprofit “Act for Israel,” Israel’s first online advocacy organization, and has become widely known as Israel’s unofficial ambassador. She is the author of Israel: a Simple Guide to the Most Misunderstood Country on Earth, which was released by Free Press, an imprint of Simon & Schuster, on April 6, 2021.
Sheryl Saperia is Vice President, Philanthropy and Deputy Campaign Director at UJA Federation of Greater Toronto. She holds a law degree from the University of Western Ontario and a Masters of Science in Comparative Politics from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Sheryl was formerly the director of policy for Canada at a prestigious think-tank based in Washington, DC that is focused on national security and foreign policy. Sheryl served previously as the director of government relations at a public policy consulting firm in Ottawa. Prior to that, she was the senior legal and policy advisor for a counterterrorism advocacy organization in Toronto. Sheryl was awarded a Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal for her ongoing advocacy on behalf of Canadian victims of terrorism, and for her advancement of sound public policy on terrorism issues in Canada. She is the proud mother of five young children, and wants them to enjoy a childhood free of antisemitism.
