We were deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Max Eisen, z”l, a beloved Toronto Holocaust survivor and educator. Max was an extraordinary leader in preserving the memory of the Shoah and bringing its lessons to life for the current generation. For many thousands within our community and throughout Canadian society, meeting Max and learning from his experiences would have an impact that lasts a lifetime.

 

We send our heartfelt condolences to his wife Ivy, his children, and all who are mourning his loss. May Max’s memory be for a blessing, just as he blessed so many throughout his life.
