Ontario’s Finance Minister Applauds UJA’s Volunteer Mobilization Effort

UJA’s advocacy agent, the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA), has been engaging governments to highlight the important work being undertaken by Jewish Federations and the agencies they support in responding to the COVID-19 crisis. In recently announcing financial measures to support Ontarians during the pandemic, Ontario’s Minister of Finance Rod Phillips applauded the “dozens of volunteers who are packing boxes of food for the needy this week with United Jewish Appeal” as an example of the “Ontario Spirit” that keeps us all going.

We’re humbled that our community’s incredible work during this crisis – driven by more than 1,500 volunteers and donors – is being recognized at the highest levels of government.
