Support UJA and the People of Israel

How fortunate we are to live in this remarkable city, a city where we can show clearly and unequivocally, our community's love for - and solidarity with - the people of Israel.

On Sunday, May 29th 2016, I ask that all of you join me in taking advantage of the freedoms afforded to us as Toronto Jews by taking part in United Jewish Appeal's Walk with Israel, the Diaspora's largest single-day Israel solidarity walk. Join the community - our community - who will either Walk or Run with Israel, showing the world - that the unbreakable bond UJA and Jewish Toronto has long shared with the people of Israel is stronger than ever!

It's easy to show your support by not only participating in the Walk or Run with Israel, but by sponsoring my personal fundraising page, and help support UJA's ongoing projects that are transforming the lives of Israelis in UJA partner communities Eilat/Eilot, Sderot and Bat Yam.

What could be better than spending a Spring day outside with your friends and family, all while helping the people of Israel.

Be sure to mark Sunday, May 29th on your calendar, and join me -and 20,000 of your best friends - rain or shine - at Coronation Park at 10am.

And be sure to stick around after you've Walked or Run for Israel for the Renee & Irwin Nadal Festival where you and the whole family will enjoy great music, delicious kosher food, rides and games for the kids.

Hope to see you at UJA's Walk with Israel on Sunday, May 29th.

Morris Zbar,
President & CEO,
UJA Federation of Greater Toronto
