“The world exists only because of the innocent breath of schoolchildren.” – Talmud.
Over 150 people attended UJA’s Centre for Jewish Education Information night on January 28th. Parents and families had the opportunity to hear from 13 Jewish day schools about the broad range of educational options available for their children in the Greater Toronto Area. Parents visited booths where school representatives addressed parent questions and concerns about what their school has to offer.
“We got a good sense of the variety of options available for Jewish education in the community”, expressed Steve Bergson, a soon to be parent of twins. “We don’t feel limited to just one denomination’s schools or just one educational philosophy.”
Parents and families from a variety of Jewish denominational backgrounds came out to the information night, eager to explore what their Jewish education options are.
“It was nice to see young families out meeting heads of schools, and their marketing personal learning more about what they have to offer," shared Chari Schwartz, UJA’s Centre for Jewish Education interim director. “We at UJA Federation Centre for Jewish Education welcome the opportunity to coordinate this special event."
