Investing in the Future of Israeli Youth Leadership

Hundreds of young leaders, entrepreneurs, educators, alumni, partners, and supporters recently gathered for Unistream's 2026 National Leadership Event. The inspiring evening brought together communities across Israel, from Kiryat Shmona in the north to Eilat in the south, including UJA's partnership communities of Sderot and Eilat/Eilot.

For more than two decades, Unistream has been helping young people from Israel's social and geographic periphery build entrepreneurial skills, leadership tools, and confidence and provide opportunities to help them succeed. Through year-long programs, mentorship, and the creation of real business ventures, Unistream empowers thousands of teens to become changemakers in their communities and future leaders of Israeli society.

UJA Federation of Greater Toronto is proud to support this life-changing work in multiple ways:

  • In UJA’s partner community of Sderot, Unistream's programming helps provide local youth with opportunities to develop leadership, resilience, and entrepreneurial skills as they look toward their future.
  • In Toronto, the partnership extends to UJA ShinShinim, where participants are trained in Unistream's entrepreneurial leadership methodology, enabling them to bring these tools and ways of thinking into the community.
  • UJA’s lay leadership and donors also help by mentoring Unistream alumni in Israel, creating meaningful connections between Toronto volunteers and Israel's next generation of young leaders.

UJA is also proud to support Unistream's annual national event, which celebrates the remarkable achievements of participants and alumni from communities across the country. During this event, teams from all over Israel have the opportunity to showcase their initiatives. This event is a powerful demonstration of how investing in young Israelis today can help to grow partnerships between Israelis and Jewish communities around the world and help to unlock extraordinary potential.
