Behind the Books offers a monthly behind the scenes glimpse into PJ Library Toronto's inner workings. This month, meet the Goldhars, a PJ family just like yours!

With three little boys, Jack (4), Samuel (2) and Benjamin (9 months), the Goldhars have been part of the PJ Library family since their oldest son was just a few months old!

We chatted with their mom Jennifer about why her family loves PJ Library.

What do your kids like most about PJ Library?

The boys love getting their PJ mail addressed to them. We love getting the books and reading them with our boys. They are all great stories and we love the Jewish content relating to Shabbat and the holidays. Our boys also love reading the books with their grandparents!

What's your favourite PJ Library book?

We love all our PJ books, especially Avi the Ambulance and Tea with Zayde! We love the special time we get to spend reading the PJ books with our kids!

Why do you think PJ Library is important for young families?

PJ Library is so important because of its large distribution - over 7,000 children in Toronto receive these books. For some families, this may be one of the only ways kids receive Jewish education. For others, the books can enrich their Jewish education and love for Jewish learning.

It's so important for the Toronto Jewish community to know about PJ Library so everyone can enjoy special reading and learning time with their children.
