Since Monday, terrorists have launched more than 1,000 rockets on Israel’s towns and cities—including Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. In Israel tonight, families are mourning loved ones murdered by rocket fire. Many who suffered terrible injuries are recovering in hospitals. Parents are facing the possibility of another long night spent in a bomb shelter with their children. And in Gaza, Hamas has once again shamefully put Palestinian civilians in harms’ way.
We refuse to be silent when the people of Israel are targeted by terrorists. Now more than ever, we must speak up, tell the world the truth about Hamas, and take action to support Israelis. That begins by uniting as one and demonstrating that our Toronto Jewish community stands shoulder-to-shoulder with our family and friends in Israel.
