The situation in Israel and Iran continues to evolve rapidly. This has been a particularly difficult time for many in our community as we hold our loved ones, friends, and those in Israel in our thoughts. Because of your leadership and generosity, UJA has been ready to respond in real time and meet the urgent needs of Israelis as they arise. 

Your ongoing support of our Annual Campaign allows UJA to maintain deep, impactful partnerships with Israel’s leading humanitarian, social service, and community organizations, including The Jewish Agency for Israel and American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC). Through UJA’s dedicated team in Israel, we develop and maintain strong relationships and work closely with local authorities, municipalities, and community leaders. This allows us to identify needs as they emerge and ensure we have the right information to respond when it matters most.   

Thanks to your investment in UJA, our partners and staff in Israel can act quickly and effectively when conflict arises. 

That impact is already being felt. Through UJA’s longstanding support of resilience centres in the Western Negev and Sderot, communities living under ongoing fire continue to receive critical frontline care. 

During the second week of Operation Roaring Lion, your support helped these centres expand emergency responses across three key areas: clinical care, community resilience programming, and municipal co-ordination. 

Since the beginning of the war, we have invested $1.5 million in immediate, life-saving support for individuals and communities directly impacted. This is in addition to the many millions UJA has committed to immediate, medium-term, and long-term recovery efforts. 

We will continue to assess needs and scale our support so that Israelis receive timely assistance across emergency response, community resilience, mental health, and recovery. This is only possible through your support and leadership.
