THE STAND-UP: ALEX EDELMAN

Award-winning comedian and writer Alex Edelman creates critically and commercially acclaimed work informed by his Orthodox Jewish upbringing. Known for his solo shows, Edelman has created award-winning and sell-out hits in London’s West End, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and off-Broadway in New York City.

His writing is featured in The Atlantic and The Believer. His most recent Broadway show, Just for Us, has cemented his reputation as a writer and performer of impressive ambition and technical skill. With HBO, Edelman's televised adaptation of Just for Us won an Emmy for “Outstanding Writing for a Variety Special.”

THE SPEAKER: DOUGLAS MURRAY

Douglas Murray is a bestselling author, journalist, and one of the most popular conservative political commentators in the world. His latest book, On Democracies and Death Cults: Israel and the Future of Civilization (2025), draws from intensive on-the-ground reporting in Israel, Gaza, and Lebanon. He takes readers on a harrowing journey through the aftermath of the October 7th massacre, with exclusive accounts from victims, survivors, and even the terrorists responsible for the atrocities.

In The War on the West (2022), he seeks to defend Western culture against what he regards as a barrage of unjust criticism for perceived past wrongdoings. The book was a #1 bestseller in both The New York Times and The Sunday Times.

THE MODERATOR: NOAH SHACK

Noah Shack is the CEO of the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs (CIJA), overseeing the organization’s strategy and day-to-day operations. He brings extensive leadership experience to CIJA, including nearly two decades in the field of Jewish community advocacy, government relations, and public policy.

Noah’s career has included working at the Washington-based Middle East Institute and the Canada-Israel Committee. Before his current role at CIJA, he served as vice president, countering antisemitism and hate at UJA Federation of Greater Toronto, where he led UJA’s multifaceted strategy to address this core community priority. As a recognized thought leader on antisemitism, Israel, and the public policy interests of the Jewish community, Noah has been a leading voice for Canadian Jewry throughout his career.
