Asher Rabinovitch Bar Mitzvah

On the occasion of his Bar Mitzvah, Asher has requested that in lieu of gifts, donations be made to support a special soccer program in Israel.

The Equalizer (Shaar Shivion) is a non-profit organization committed to creating a lasting national impact on Israeli society by using the power of sports to promote education, equality, and social cohesion.  Their goal is to bridge educational and social gaps by offering unique after-school programs that combine sports with social development sessions for youth in underserved areas, ethnic minorities, and marginalized communities.

This project aims to establish up to 12 teams in Eilat, impacting over 220 boys and girls aged 9-16. Each team will benefit from two weekly soccer training sessions, led by a professional coach, focused on skill development and instilling educational values, and two weekly educational-social sessions, facilitated by a qualified tutor, based on a unique pedagogical framework developed over the past decade. There will be four regional tournaments featuring 12 teams from diverse neighboring communities, designed to foster relationships, trust, and social integration.
