Temple Sinai NEXTGEN members and friends won’t want to miss this one-night-only screening of the 2023 Toronto Jewish Film Festival “Chosen Film”, Less than Kosher.
A musical comedy about modern Jewish life, unabashedly set in Toronto, Less Than Kosher is the story of Viv, who at 20, was a promising singer. Now 30, her failing music career has forced her back into her mother’s basement. When this self-proclaimed “bad Jew” reluctantly lands a job as a Cantor at her family’s synagogue, she’s thrown into a wild ride of self-discovery, tense family drama and some serious Jewish balagan.
Featuring an in-person Q&A with Less Than Kosher’s writer/creator/star Shaina Silver-Baird and writer/creator Michael Goldlist.
