The legendary actor Daniel Auteuil is superb as Mr. Haffmann, a talented Jewish jeweler in this gripping historical drama.

The setting is Occupied Paris, 1941. Fearing the worst, Haffmann arranges for his family and himself to flee and offers his employee the chance to take over his store. It’s a risky proposition for both, and the two men reach an agreement that turns into a Faustian bargain, forever changing the fate of all.
