Gary Barwin: Yiddish for Pirates
Gary is a writer, composer, multimedia artist and the author of twenty books of poetry, fiction and books for children. His recent novel, Yiddish for Pirates, which he will talk about, was a finalist for the 2016 Governor-General’s Literary Award and the Giller Prize. He has a PhD in music compostion and has been Writer-in-Residence several times.
