Recapping ZOOM calls 8 + 9: Boarding Call: We're Going MORE Places!

Wow! Two awesome travel related calls - we have been places! Time flew again as we covered Israel, North America, Europe, Asia and Africa.

We were treated to travel photos and stories from so many places: Venice, Holland, England, Italy (learned how Jewish architects put magen davids on the original Vatican chairs!); Russia (Faberge eggs); Switzerland (climbing with a Jewish Orthodox climbing group); Getting exposed in a Spanish bathroom stall (for not paying!); Seeing the Princess of Monaco's wedding motorcade in Nice, live!; Ordering an omelette in Lichtenstein, by drawing it on a napkin ;-) Near private dining on a tiny Greek island; and in Prague (enjoying still a bottle of Slivovitz/plum brandy from the Altenoi shul (home of the Jewish Golem) and why the statue of Jesus there has Hebrew Holy writing on it! And then we were blown away by up-close photos from an African Safari! What a wonderful tour it was. Thanks to all our guides ;-)

On our previous travel call (call #8 review): In Israel, we got a behind the scenes look at Rawabi (the $B West Bank, fully built 'City of the Future', funded by Qatar!) and learned about the Jordan side of the Dead Sea. In North America, we heard about trips to many awesome National Parks (sample: Bryce Canyon UT, Joshua Tree CA and the Cabot Trail NS), saw a real gas mask from volunteering at Ground Zero (a week after 9/11), and heard inspiring experiences, leading painting classes on waterfronts in the Maritimes.
