Winner of the 2019 Canadian Jewish Literary Award for Yiddish, "Confessions of a Yiddish Writer and Other Essays by Chava Rosenfarb" is a collection of 13 newly translated essays by Rosenfarb's daughter, Goldie Morgentaler. These essays chronicle Chava Rosenfarb's experiences before, during, and after the Holocaust, as well as her analyses of the lives of Jewish writers, feminism in Yiddish literature, and her travels to Australia and Prague. This collection marks the first time that Rosenfarb's non-fiction essays have been presented together in English.
