Introduction to Advance Care Planning with Rabbi Michael Dolgin with our Member Dr. Barbara Bresver and Denyse Burns
Thursday, June 17 at 7.00 p.m.
What is an Advance Care Plan, and why is it important? It's never too early to start thinking about
your health care options if you cannot speak for yourself. If something unexpected were to happen
tomorrow, what care would you want to receive – or not receive? Who would speak on your behalf?
These decisions are not easy, and it can be overwhelming to know where to start.
Join us to learn the key steps in creating an Advance Care Plan.
After forty years in private practice, our member and psychologist, Dr. Barbara (Bunni) Bresver, has followed her interest in bereavement and grief. She has acted as a witness for those requesting Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD). She is on the executive of the Toronto GTA chapter of Dying With Dignity Canada (DWDC), where she works with people exploring advance care planning.
Denyse Burns is the founder of Madison-Burns & Associates, LLC, a Toronto firm specializing in
executive coaching, communication consulting, and end-of-life doula consulting. She is the Vice
Chair-Program Development of the Toronto GTA Chapter of DWDC.
