Judaism Faces the Future: The Four Questions
Thursdays, February 8 – March 1, 2018
7:30 p.m.
1. Is there a serious division between Israel and the Diaspora?
2. Paradigm shifts in Judaism: Yesterday, Today and tomorrow?
3. Leo Strauss: Jerusalem or Athens?
4. F. Kafka, S. Kierkegaard, M. Buber: is human existence absurd (and Jewish existence even more so)?
We are living through massive, historical changes. How will Judaism face these challenges? We have lived through every historical crisis, shift and change and we have survived. No other religion can make that statement. How can we use our past to create the Judaism of the future and find ultimate meaning in our existence as Jews?
