A Temple Sinai Program: Rabbi Joachim Prinz and the Civil Rights Movement: Film and Discussion with Rabbi Michael Dolgin
Tuesday, February 16 at 7.30 p.m.
Please join Rabbi Michael Dolgin to view and discuss the film Joachim Prinz: I Shall Not Be Silent. The film documents the life of Rabbi Joachim Prinz and his impact on the American civil rights movement. Rabbi Prinz was expelled from Nazi Germany and came to the United States in 1937. There, he immediately identified with African Americans experiencing the same oppression that he had known as a Jew in Hitler's Germany. Prinz became a civil rights activist, working with Martin Luther King and speaking at the 1963 March on Washington. Cost per Household: Temple Members: $5; Non-Members: $8 For more information and to register visit our website at www.templesinai.net, call the Temple Office at 416-487-4161 or email programs@templesinai.net.
