Temple Sinai Congregation of Toronto is currently seeking a Manager of Communications. Reporting to the Executive Director, this position will plan and implement all communications activities to align with Temple Sinai’s vision, mission and strategic plan.

What you Bring

  • Familiarity with Jewish festivals and customs
  • Certificate/degree in Communications is an asset
  • Experience in a supervisory role
  • Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and experience in developing and implementing successful communication plans
  • High level of computer proficiency, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of and comfort with using various communication tools across a variety of channels
  • Excellent writing skills with experience writing for a wide range of audiences
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and succinctly
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to quickly shift priorities, manage competing timelines and be relentless in getting the job done


  • Creates and implements all Temple communications and media plans
  • Tracks and analyses communication and media plan performance while ensuring that the overall branding and strategic objectives are met
  • Assesses communication programs, reports weekly, monthly, and biannually on findings and recommends improvements
  • Ensures effective use of all technology, media and industry best practices in all communication plans
  • Oversees the placement of all print media, advertising, general printing
  • Provides expertise and shares knowledge as appropriate, in both response to and in anticipation of issues

Nice to Have

  • Tech-savvy with a willingness to learn new technology and software systems quickly
  • Proficient in Adobe CC (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Acrobat)
  • Knowledge of email marketing software (preferably Constant Contact)
  • WordPress
