“What are your thoughts, wishes and aspirations for the future of the Jewish community of Toronto?”

Jennifer Waxman Stallman: First off, I think we have a flourishing Jewish community in Toronto and happy to be a part of it, this is where I grew up and proud to have seen it grow. I hope that the Jewish community in Toronto continues to come together and support each other through triumphs and hardship.

It's important for families to teach their children about the struggles we had to face to become the strong faith that we continue to be today. We also must educate our kids on the traditions, culture and stories that make up our religion. I feel one way to accomplish this is making sure our children receive a Jewish education through either Jewish Day School, Jewish Night School or through the teachings of a Rabbi/Synagogue. I hope for the future, that our children can grow up in a community full of peace and love, and will always be proud of being Jewish.
