POVERTY

IN THE JEWISH

COMMUNITY

IS INCREASING

Rising food costs, an increase in precarious and part time employment, social assistance that does not cover cost of living increases, and, especially, skyrocketing rents and lack of affordable housing, are daunting challenges facing the most financially vulnerable in our community.

Poverty is physically and mentally exhausting. And for many Jews, poverty means shame.
