Join author and family storyteller Sue Robins for a special event sponsored by the The Azrieli Adult Neurodevelopmental Centre at CAMH and the Miles Nadal JCC and JDAIM.

Storytelling is an effective way to communicate, impart meaning and advocate for change. Stories provide context and can bring deeper understanding of our evolving role as caregivers, an important step to effectively share information about our family’s and our own needs. Our stories are unique and can be told in many ways - through words, photography or other art forms.
Sue will lead a conversation in partnership with a diverse family panel. This interactive session will include how to harness the power of stories for advocacy in health care, and giving space for our loved ones to tell their own stories.
This event will include readings from Sue’s new book, Bird’s Eye View, about her travels from grief to celebration as the mother of a 16-year-old son with Down syndrome.
