Carole Gruson

Dr Carole Gruson is a Periodontist who was in private practice for 39 years and was an Associate in Dentistry in the department of Graduate Periodontics at the University of Toronto. She received a 25 year of service award from U of T.

Carole is a past president of multiple dental professional societies. She has also served as president of the Board of BIALIK Hebrew Day School and sat on the board of CHAT, and the Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Centre. She served as a co-chair of doctors4wiesenthal, a committee of FSWC. Carole currently acts as chair of the Advocacy committee for Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity, Toronto chapter and has been a major part in bringing webinars on anti-semitism to the international community this past year in partnership with UJA.

Carole has been a fundraiser for the United Jewish Appeal for many years, serving as co-chair of the dental division, Lion of Judah, Atarah, Major Gifts and currently, co-vice chair of the Community campaign. She was a recipient of a Shem Tov award for volunteerism for UJA in 2015. She is also a recipient of an Ontario Volunteer Service Award and awards from Alpha Omega International and Alpha Omega Toronto. She is very involved in canvassing for Cancer research, most specifically Pancreatic Cancer research and currently is organizing “Carole’s first annual charity golf tournament in support of Pancreatic Cancer Research”, a third party event for Pancreatic Cancer Canada.

Carole is an active member of Canadian Hadassah Wizo, Tzedakah chapter and is currently a peer support volunteer for Wellspring, a cancer support centre. She has been married to her classmate, Charles Goldberg for 41 years. Charles is one of the team dentists for the Leafs, Blue Jays, and the Argos. They have 3 married children, Stephanie and Corey, Hailey and Jeff, Justin and Ronly, 2 grandchildren, Madison and Jax and please G-d, 2 more very soon.
